Cheltenham v Leeds - preview
By Andy Baggott
October 31 2008
Leeds travel to Cheltenham on Saturday aiming to get their title challenge back on track. A disappointing defeat on Tuesday at Southend set the club back, after a great display at the weekend saw us hammer Walsall 3-0. It’s the away form that is a worry at the moment.
The club are pretty solid at Elland Road, but have lost 4 on the trot on their travels. The main area of worry is still the defence.  Various combinations have been tried, but the balance isn’t quite right.  Gary Macs first decision will be who to put in goal.  David Lucas looks like he’s first choice, but Casper Ankergren is the man in possession after Lucas was taken ill.  It’s a hard call.  Lucas is probably more consistant – steady in the air, can kick, and communicates well.  Ankergren is more up and down – undoubtably the better shot stopper, but prone to missing crosses and not a good kicker.  Tough call really… The back four is likely to be unchanged, whilst in midfield Andy Robinson and Andy Hughes are both pushing for a recall, whilst the front 2 pretty much pick themselves….
