Andy Hughes
With all due respect to Hughes, most people would agree that Robinson is a ‘better’ player – he offers more, is exciting, and can be a match winner. However, the team seems to tick over better with Hughes in the side.
Earlier in the season, the midfield 4 that found success was Hughes, Delph, Kilkenny and Douglas. However, against Hereford, Macca changed it, bringing in Robinson and Howson at the expense of Hughes and Kilkenny. Although Leeds managed a win against Hereford, losses at Peterborough and Rotherham have forced the boss to revert back to the winning formula. With frontmen Beckford and Becchio both in goalscoring form, Macca will be confident of goals – whether we can keep them out at the other end is likely to be where the game is won and lost.Key man for Leeds is again likely to be whizzkid Fabian Delph. The Leeds man has been attracting a lot of media attention recently, but seems to take it all in his stride, and must be one of the first names on the team sheet. Macca will be looking for another big game from the teenager, as he looks for a second successive win.
